Usually, when people think about visiting Turks and Caicos they think about romantic getaways. Although Turks and Caicos do have a great amount of romantic life to it, it is also a great place to visit for family trips. There are plenty of activities to participate in for each member of the family. Make sure you explore all there is to explore in Turks and Caicos to get the full experience.

Diving and Snorkeling

The islands are surrounded by two large underwater mountain ranges that are great places for divers and snorkelers. If you are traveling with older kids that are skilled swimmers, you could take them on a diving trip around the islands. If you have younger children, a laid back snorkeling session would be a great way to spend a day in Turks and Caicos.

Explore Ruins

Turks and Caicos was home to England’s production of salt and has many abandoned plantations that can be toured. The island puts together tours for families to walk through the plantations as well as other ruins all across the islands. Along the tours, you may come across some of Turks and Caicos wild animals such as free-roaming donkeys.

Horseback Riding

The island offers tourists the opportunity to ride on horseback in the ocean and on land to see historical relics of the island. The Turks and Caicos Heritage Tours give people the chance to not only ride a horse in the ocean but learn more about Turks and Caicos.

Beach Day

The main attraction for many individuals who visit Turks and Caicos is their beaches. Turks and Caicos is home to a number of the world’s most beautiful and scenic beaches. Taylor, Sapodilla, Turtle Tail, and Grace Bay Beach are just a few beaches that make the island known for its beaches. Many of the beaches have very low and calm waters making them great spots for younger children. Many of the beaches have the opportunity to rent canoes, small boats, and even paddleboards for those looking to adventure out into the water.
